High school students can earn college credit several ways.
Concurrent Enrollment. Central Oregon high school students can take any of COCC's credit classes through our concurrent enrollment program. Classes are taught by college faculty on the Bend or Redmond Campus.
College Now/Tech Prep COCC's College Now/Tech Prep Program offers high school students the opportunity to gain the essential skills needed for many technical fields. High school instructors teach Tech Prep program classes in their high school during regular school hours. For more information, contact COCC's Tech Prep Coordinator at 383-7782, or visit the College Now/Tech Prep web site.
College Now/Transfer Central Oregon Community College is currently working with area high schools to offer college-level general education transfer courses in the high schools, taught by high school instructors, and taught exclusively for high school students. Tuition is only $15/credit--a savings of 192 for a regular COCC four-credit course. Courses can be used to meet COCC certificate or degree requirements, as well as transfer to community college and universities across the country. For more details and courses offered in your high school, contact your high school counselor, call our office at 504-2900, or visit the College Now/Transfer web site. Courses are limited to high school juniors and seniors.
